Loretta Dunn

Loretta Dunn, Director of Medic Angels, is an Advanced Nurse Practitioner with many years of experience in general practice.

She began her nursing career in 1981 and qualified as a midwife in 1986.

In 1991 she progressed into general practice, recognising that the varied nature of the work complemented her autonomous style as a Practitioner.

She has continued to expand her knowledge in the Primary Care field and qualified as a Nurse Practitioner and Nurse Prescriber in 2004. This advanced knowledge has enabled her to work alongside General Practitioner colleagues in emergency clinics and gain expertise in tele-medicine consultations.

Her areas of specialist interest include individual health risk assessments, health behaviour education, health and wellness programmes and chronic disease management.

She has a particular interest in education and has been involved in teaching activities with patients, staff in health care centres and nursing students in leading Scottish Universities for nurse education.
