On the day consultation for minor ailments:
Examples of the types of illness you may wish to
consult the Nurse Practitioner with are: Coughs, colds, sore throats,
headaches, minor injuries e.g. cuts, mild gastro-intestinal upsets,
skin infections.This list is not exhaustive.
Well person checks consist of:
Height, weight, Body Mass Index (BMI) calculation, blood pressure
check, basic urine testing, lifestyle advice.
Smoking Cessation help and advice
Here at Medic Angels we believe in assessing the individual’s
motivation to stop smoking. By using the information from the
assessment we will guide and support you through what can be a
difficult time.
The support is offered on an individual basis with
our experienced nurse practitioner who will demonstrate a range
of nicotine replacement therapy (NRT) products available. A prescription
for any of the preparations will be issued once you have made
your choice.
Support and NRT significantly improves your chances
of success.
Travel Consultation:
You may require to travel for work and find it difficult to obtain
the time off to attend your GP surgery or Travel clinic. The Nurse
Practitioners at Medic Angels are experienced in travel health
and can offer help devising schedules for complex travel itineraries.
The price will include the prescribing and administration of immunisations.
